Upea otos, Ilja! Hienot sävyt, tunnelma - ja ennen kaikkea niin aito!

PS. Juhannuksena salama iski tietokoneeseen, josta meni virtalähde. Ei auttanut UPSikaan. Niinpä seurasi reilun kahden viikon mediapaasto, mutta tänään saatiin kone kotiin =) -Juha
Ilja Hackman  Kiitos paljon, Juha!

Ilmeisen hyvä tuuri, että vain virtalähde simahti.. Jos kovalevy sentään säästyi.. Taidanpa tarinasi innoittamana tehdä iltasella varmuuskopioita kuvistani :)

Wonderful expressions! As many have said already, the conneciton between the man and the child is so strong. The child in it's own world, the father following every little movement of the childs fingers. Strong everyday portrait!
The crop and composition is very well done, adding to the closeness. Like how the mans eyes, the rod, his arm and the lines in the background lead into the image. The childs 100% focus on the gadget! If I may I would like to make one small suggestion. To me the mans face is a little dark. I would like to see a little more detail in his face.
Wonderful image!
/Thomas
Ilja Hackman  Tusen tack, Thomas! :)

Ofcourse you can make a small or even a huge suggestion.. :)
To me though..
The child and the reel are the main objects so I liked the way the fathers face was kind of back lit and a bit shady.. I could try to lighten the fathers face a bit in photoshop but I think I prefer it this way..
Thanks for the comment, Thomas!
Thomas Ljungberg  Yes, I agree with you that the child and reel are the main subjects. And I really like the way the mans hair contrasts to the background. My thoughts were more along the basic tone of the image. It is a beutiful and positive image that captures this great moment between the father and his child. So to me, I find the "shadow" hanging over the child a little darkening to the mood so to speak. It's a very subtle feeling... hard to explain.
And the father is important as well... ;-)
Anyway, it's a terrific image either way!!!
/Thomas
Ilja Hackman  Ah.. Ok.. Now I see what you´re getting at!
And you might be right on that.. I just don´t think I could pull it off with photoshop.. don´t have the skills..
Thanks again! :)
