Ciao

Absolutely outstanding. My initial thought upon seeing this was 'wow...'. The next was 'I wish i had taken this'. I began to think that I should just give up trying to take photos. Then I thought 'I really want to tell this guy how amazing this image is'. My final thinking (for now) is 'I want to take a picture as good as this'. So Giuilio, I thank you for the pleasure of viewing your image, and the inspiration that it has given me. I look forward to seeing more of your great work.
Regards and respect, John.

Stunning image that benefits from subtle post shoot work. Nice to see such impressive images can be produced by what some peope would term an entry level DSLR with a basic lens. Exceptional image :)
Giulio.Ercolani  Thank you Richard to appreciate this picture. I have better lens too (or at least more expensive), but that lens is so light that is perfect for mountaineering! :-))

Ahh, Giulio, another one of your mountain images that are just so beautiful. Where the two people walking on the other side from you also making images? I love how clear this is. Was your group going to scale that peak? Did you make it?
Giulio.Ercolani  Ciao Ursula, thank you! I shoot this picture just when I arrived there. It was the first impressive view of the wall we were going to climb. Those people you see in the picture were from another expedition who climbed the mountain before us. We climbed it two days later. Alpamayo is the most beautiful mountain I have never seen! It was a great show just to sit in front of her and watch how it was changing during the day.
Ursula I Abresch  Ahhh, thank you! Alpamayo. How high up is this base camp? How high is Alpamayo?
Giulio.Ercolani  Alpamayo is 5.947 m (19.511 f) high and the camp, you see in the picture, is at 5.400 m (17.716 f). So the french route to the top is about 500 m (1.640 f). :-)
