Sociologist and photographer

I am a sociologist and teaching Economic Sociology at the University of Rome La Sapienza. Photography is a passion, sometimes a job, but always a way to express myself additionally to the writing in my work
I am grateful to 'social photographers' as Sebastiao Salgado and Steve McCurry for inspiring me as a photographer. But Josef Koudelka, Robert Mapplethorpe, David Seymour and some first generation Magnum photographers are also amongst my favourites.
It's in the kind of 'documentary' photography, that I would like to grow in the future.
A way of photographing, that's both very emotional and very instinctive. The subject has to evoke real emotions in the viewer. The composition, the colors, the contrast should serve that goal
