We do need a translator for Spanish. Here are very talented and inspired photographers from Spain, needing help in translation, as they wish to add more, than translate.google allows. Anyone willing? Please contact me via OEMail, thanks, Christoph

I got no job until now :(
Seems Indonesians speak English pretty well :D

I am afraid, that indonesion community more is a bit closed and seperated one.
Much traffic in commenting where mothertongue is understood, not much traffic in critique or forum.

So I think, it is necessary to make them become aware of that option here (if they are interested at all)

I think you are right. I've got a message once asking for translation, but he didn't back with the link, so I think he is not so serious. Indonesians are not used to writing since they are kid. That's the problem. I saw once an Indonesian artist post a critique, he said it was the first time for him, and he did that because you asked him.
Most of my friends said that they are a photographer, not writer. I believe they don't mean they don't want to share about their knowledge. Maybe they are just not used to it.

This text "Need help with translation? Click here" in Critique and Tutorial is a good idea, I just saw it (brought me to this page, haha), but seems doesn't work for those who are not really have intention.
A big award point (5) for being active in critique, comment seems does not help either.

However he have to keep this idea to live here, at least it works for other languages I believe. It was your idea and this is a great thing. Keep up your spirit :) Spirit of serving :D

what is "hillbilly and outer space"

Sebastian Kisworo wrote

Nobody ever will understand (me included), not beeing born in this outer spaces  :-)

Serious Seb.
"Hillbilly" is what Clyde calls his way of communication of hard - but from heart too - very direct and emotional expression and Kaveh, who is a very philosophical man expresses this with his term of "outer space", means beeing home somwhere else, in a more abstract world, with partly less understanding or asthonishing for everyday habits or thoughts.

Hi Papafrezzo,

the problem is that not only i don´t have the time to do it but also i take ages to writte one ;)) It would be easier if someone could do that, not only for me but for the other 1X portuguese friends.

I understand that we need a volunteer... but unfortunately i can´t because of my work.

Thanks

I'd like to (and I can) translate some tutorials into Vietnamese :)

I am just a photography newbie, so reading and understanding the tutorials would help a lot. My (English) writting and speaking skills aren't good but my reading skills is good enough for translation, and I have been translating many documents from English into Vietnamese since 2001.

Although this idea is very interesting, and should be discussed, there is a misunderstanding Anh.

The site is meant to be and stay in english only.
The list we publish here is intended to help those, who would like to participate in forum and critique, but can not because of theri english skills.
They write the critque or posting in their mothertongue, contact You in OEMail and You translate for them.

So You can lay back, and wait for someone to contact You.

Many thanks

Christoph

PS for all:

We need help so urgent in

Romanian
and
Portuguese

I see. And thank you for the clarifying.

It isn't a problem if the document won't be published on 1x.com. As a personal project I will translate some tutorials into Vietnamese (and I will start with the one above.) This is my favorite way to learn something new. I would publish my translation at my personal site.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for the warning. I completely understand this problem as an indenpendent developer and an open source advocate. I don't want to break the rule or license. My purposes are to improve my skill and to share my knowledge with others.

Could you please let me know the place where I can find more details about copyright information of the tutorials? For example, if I translate a tutorial, how about the license of the derivated work?

Thank you very much.

Anh, the copyright is owned by the author, same with the images. Please, this becomes off topic now. :-) Thanks for Your understanding Christoph

I am sorry for the noise. If the translation's license isn't clear, I don't think that I can help (so please remove my name from the list.)

Thank you very much.

Translations are intended for translating into English from other languages. If someone would like to write a tutorial in Vietnamese and you would translate it into English, that would be great. In that case we will contact you.

Like Christoph pointed out, it's not allowed to publish our tutorials on other sites irregardless of the language it's written in or translated to.

Is there a volunteer for Swedish? A young and talented member would be glad and thankful for help.....

Hum... I can read and understand Swedish quite well, but it is a bit of a stretch for me from my non-native Norwegian... I hope one of the "real Swedes" steps in.

Iranian language or better Iranian languages contain several different languages. I think Arash is going to translate Persian, called Farsi.

Kaveh, The "Mola Loghati"

PS: Ask him what "Mola Loghati" means :-)))

Christoph Hessel  Head moderator

Can I add You for one of that languages Kaveh?

Posted 3 months ago
I understand and speak a little "Kurdish", (western Iran, just one of the three Kurdish dialects, which is very similar to Farsi), But I can't write or read it. Although I lived one year in my childhood in North-Iran, I can't speak "Gilaki". You could add me for Farsi, but no promises...I am too lazy.

Christoph Hessel  Head moderator

Many thanks Kaveh, my experience tells me,
that lazyness, is a necessary consequentce of intelligence,
and it tells me too,
that people with persian roots are even more helpful, than lazy :-)

thanks!

Christoph
