Professional quality A4 Monochrome Prints
Posted 2 years ago
Greetings Chaps,

I am looking for an A4 printer that will print professional quality monochrome prints. I am certainly NOT looking for an A3 printer just to print A4. Any recommendations much appreciated?

Any Epson using the UltraChrome K3 ink. Even if you will not print larger than A4, you should look into larger size printers. Ink cartridges get get bigger and the ink-cost so much lower.

These start at size A3+ if I remember correctly with the Epson Stylus Photo R2880

I agree with Thomas. I have my third Epson now, the last ones being ..a little bigger than what you ask about.
We bought a Canon at work, using their Chroma something ink. The prints from the Canon are fading fast.
Some of my Epson prints from my old 2100 I saw after hanging in an open restaurant in a dive resort in the Philippines looked just fine after 5 years. That is, 20m from the sea, 90 % humidity, and plenty of light. That is a quite hard test, and it is one generation before the K3 ink!

I started with Epson printers since 1998 or 1999, i bought 2 Epson printers during that time which are old models discontin. now, i just bought Epson 3800 about 2 years ago, never get disappointed and very happy with it, in the future i will buy Epson printer of size 44" or 24" if i can't afford larger, but i dream to have that 60" but it is too much for me, so 24"-44" will be the options and sure i will try with 44" for sizes of 30" and up to 44" so then 24" is out of game, i will use my 3800 for 17" prints for sure.
