Hey!
we almost all, beside photography , are music fans, so i would like to hear from you, if you go to the concerts and what are your favourite ones. Yesterday i went to see Australian Pink Floyd Show and i must say they are really good.Maybe even better, i am afraid :-) the quality of their sound is very good and i heard that even the real members of the group are their fans.

if you get the chance, they are worth a go!

Nice thread, Barbara!

Last concert was a Dutch band called "Moke" in a small local pop podium in my hown town Deventer.
Before that, we were at the Pinkpop festival last summer with "Snow Patrol" as main performance - Brilliant!

Next scheduled is a concert of Muse in June...!

Ah, what a thread!

I had an amazing experience last summer, I got the chance (through an invitation at Twitter to a friend of mine!!!) to see a secret gig by Pixies - the best rock band in the world. It was perhaps 150 people there, at a very small place. It was simply superb, very informal, lots of laughter and very very good. I borrowed my wife's compact camera and shoot a couple of videos:

Fantastic stuff Johan. I saw them on their first UK tour when they supported the Throwing muses back in the late 80s. One of the best bands out there.

I guess the last one was Walter Trout with his band a while back.

Next will be Hendrik Freischlader and band in March (a very talented German Blues guitarist)
After that, Joe Bonamassa is on my agenda in July.

Sounds good. Any concrete dates already known?

My last concert was Tower of Power, still full of grooving energy.

I had the good fortune to get hold of two tickets, and had to wait 17 months, to see Mylène Farmers magnificent 2nd concert in Stade de Genève last September.
30 000 spectators experienced Mylène Farmer, as to quote Tribune de Genève; in another dimension.
Une spectacle with nice weather and a full moon above the stage.

This clip is from her concert in Stade de France the following Saturday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z1czhkueak

I shoot concerts, so the last one I went to rarely reflects my taste in music.

Most recent was a country-rock band from Perth called Kill Devil Hills last Friday night.

Before that, Al Green.

Let's see, Joe Bonamassa I think was the last one - in Seattle. Worth it!

Music is my life, but I never go to concerts, because all my favorite composers, conductors, performers etc. are dead! But I might go to Hélène Grimaud's concert at 30. Mai 2010. I like her Schumanns...

This should have been the last for me, last summer.
Unfortunately Dave Gahan injured a leg in the concert at Bilbao, Spain, (??... well, at least that was the official version of the band) and the concert in Porto, was cancelled the day before. Despite this, I could see Nouvelle Vague (which I liked a lot) and one of the best Portuguese bands, The Gift.

Had to keep reminding myself that I was there to shoot, not sing and dance!

Last concert I saw was Rush (my favourite band) during their Snakes and Arrows tour. See them about 15 times since they first appeared in the UK and they just keep getting better and better - and they were brilliant to start with.

My next concert is Tangerine Dream at the Rotal Albert Hall in April. 40 years since they last played there. Again another favourite oldy of mine and, without question, a band that heralded the dawn of electronic / synth music. Can't wait....

The last concert I visited was Radiohead in the Westerpark in Amsterdam in 2008!

Yeah, you could say that, but there was a concert with the rest of the guys and they did call themselves Queen =)

A whole concert with the real Queen would be awesome of course, but maybe a little bit tiresome with "God Save the Queen" for the fifth time in a row... ;)

Have seen the old Queen somewhere in the 80es in the Berlin Waldbühne ( http://www.waldbuehne-berlin.de/startseite.html ). Although I wasn't a fan of Queen, their concert was the much better one of the two acts this evening :-)

I hate paying the price for tickets but Floyd is a must before it's no longer. I'd also like to see McCartney, an opportunity I blew a month or so back... that I'll keep blowing, I figure. Seems to be a never ending trend with me.

I dig this little Jazz venue in Greenwich Village called The 55 Bar. Mike Stern, Norah Jones (Little Willies) and Steely Dan veterans roost there...
