Both D700 and D3s has full frame 12MP (FX) sensors. The D700 is roughly half the price and is considerably lighter and smaller. However the D3s can be pushed two full steps further iso-wise and also have movie capability. Sometime in the near future the rumor says there will be a D700s, practically with the same configurations as the D3s. Maybe worth waiting for?
