Ian..I fully understand and I might just do the same. These street shots selected by Smashing are great, and just imagine how they will fill a book on this topic? I'd love to buy a copy, maybe even two. Great stuff, and congrats to those whose images were selected. It appears that Smashing employs no monkey to do the selections from the 1X gallery.

Rui, I am not sure what you mean with your question...10000 pictures.
I try not to get frustrated and just give up when I see a collection of work that the link shows. But I wouldnt throw my camera out; I was just expressing my frustration.
Keep in mind tho, I have come REALLY close to doing so... several times.

Ian - there is a famous quote, attributed to Henri Cartier-Bresson, which says,
"Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst."

I'm pretty sure this is what Rui is referring to.
