About me
From Quebec, Canada. Started at age 6 with a Baby Brownie, and quickly graduated to a Brownie Hawkeye. As a teenager, used my Dad's Exakta II and developed B&W images in the family bathroom. Left photography through studies and most of my work years. Bought a Nikon FM2 in 1986, and developed Cibachromes in my (former) walk-in closet and our bathroom. Then developed an allergy to the chemicals, and quit post processing until buying Photoshop 3.

In 2003, I traded my Nikon F4 for a D100, my first digital, and haven't looked back. With PSCS5 and my D300, I can do what I could only dream of in my wet/dry darkroom. And I have my closet back.

My early influences were Margaret Bourque-White, Pete Turner, David Muench and Freeman Patterson. An enthusiastic amateur, I've tried many kinds of photography, and feel happiest doing macro and working in B&W.

Some of my work is at www.KayBeausoleilPhotography.com if you'd care to visit.
