Interest in photography has always been a part of my life since I first found my parent's twin-lens reflex, top down viewing camera. I always enjoyed taking pictures as as a kid, but my first real photographic opportunities came when I got to travel to Germany after High School. I had a cheap automatic APS camera, but I took so many pictures trying to capture the beauty of the country I was in and the friends I was with.

Photography transformed from childhood interest to full-fledged hobby when I decided to take a Black & White film class in college. I was struck by the ability to not only take a good picture, but by finding the art in making a good picture. While a picture is definitely 75% capturing a moment, it is the photographers responsibility to fill in that last 25% and make all the pieces fit together.

I do have another full-time job and I am far from being a professional photographer. It is my hope that you are able to find some enjoyment in my pictures here.
