I am a petroleum geologist working in the North Sea sector of the UK. I live with my bulky and ruthlessly efficient Japanese bodyguard (Nikon D700) and support three kids in Further Education (pests).

I have lots of free time to indulge my interests and hobbies and after picking up a camera a couple of years ago photography is currently running favourite. It is a priviledge to be part of this site.

I never read, listen to music, watch movies, use quotations or get inspired (happily this exempts me from filling in all those boxes below).

I speak the King's English, a smattering of Canine, selected Foreign Phrase Book and Condescending Infant as and when necessary. Always on a journey towards self improvement, I have recently engaged in that most bewildering of all languages, PS5, in which I never expect to achieve complete fluency.

My age? - won't know till it is all over. There is no expiry date on my birth certificate.
