I'm inspired by and try to follow the principles of Zen aesthetics, especially simplicity, asymnetry, absence of pretense, subtlety, and grace. Easy to say, difficult to do. I do not write statements of my images. It seems to me that if an image needs to be described it's probably not visually conveying whatever the photographer is trying to express. An artist's statement also limits the viewer's imagination in interpreting the image. Images are images and should stand or fall as such.
