I wanted to use the break in the leaves to frame the sunset and monument. I felt like the gap in the upper left part of the leaves worked as an entry point that led the eyes towards the center. I struggled with how to handle the crop and the color profile. I ended up cropping in some and kept the photo on the darker side color wise but I am still not sure if that is the right decision. Where can I improve on the composition/post processing?

Thanks,

JP,

Navigation on the new, Gamma, version of the site has confused many members.  Try this . . .  Click on 'Forums', then click on 'Critique', then click the blue 'Request Critiqe' button at the top right, write about the photo you want to post, then scroll down to the bottom and click on 'Attach Photo'.  There's also a 'Create Topic' button, and I'm not sure if you have to click that as well.

I hope that helps.

PS:  you can also get to the Senior Critic section by clicking the big, blue 'Discussion Forum' button that's found on some pages now,

or by using the direct URL   https://1x.com/forum/critique
