Why am I just seeing this today, although it was posted 4 weeks ago? I sometimes post comments without reading the photographer's explanatory text, and usually without reading comments by others before adding mine.

Not so in this case, so I'm alerted to the back story. Allow me say first that my heart goes out to you regarding the loss of your grandmother.

Now this intensely moody photo could work well if no little ghostly image were present behind the window. It would have to be styled a bit, worked on, you know, to bring the whole and different story into the foreground.

However, the little creature changes everything, doesn't he(?...Bleu?). I like especially that he is reaching and looking upward, as if aspiring to something. The branches of the tree remind me of Chinese paper cutting art. Quite beautiful in and of themselves.

Atmospheric, haunting and memorable.

Sorry for your grandma Angela! I did also lose all my grand parents, I had 6 of them. In a way I also feel what you are feeling. Especially when you feel more for a few of them, that I kow. I do feel with you. You know the gang here (or at least, I think it stayed a bit the same since several moths ago, right) we would support you in the way that we can support you. In good and worse times. Love you for the feelings on this image...

Robin Roels In harder times, strange feelings have the chance to come forward, I believe. ( even other feelings, next to those of you and your Grandma) You can't always place them in your head/heart. The last years, I try to let them be, let them speak. and I try to listen to what they want to say... although I know it's still a hard thing... we all know that.
