This image makes me think of abuse and despair. It shows a woman in a red dress, red shoes and fishnet stockings. She is however not glamourous, and the photo does not aim to accentuate any beauty that she has. Thus the clothing, normally associated with glamour and more so with the sex industry sit uncomfortably. Her pose also accentuates this. Her head is down and is hidden. This suggest shame, or unhappiness or both. The pose of the arms and hands add to this, and perhaps could be said to be in a protective stance. This accentuates the feeling of abuse or shame
