The composition here is good, but I think the image could be improved in a few ways. There is not much contrast and this makes the whole appear flat. I think this is because the foregorund and most of the middle distance is in shadow and the shot has been exposed for overall brightness. Probably underexposing a bit (Or exposing for the bright higlights on the mountains would have helped, This would have made the foreground darker, but emphasised the difference between foreground and the mountains. Using a a polarising filter would have helped to make the mountains pop against the sky. Also some post processing such as mimicking a graduated ND in PS filter could be used.
The foreground is rather soft, because of the focus on the mountains. This is distracting because the vertical trees are such a prominent fature. Underexposing would also have helped here giving more depth of field, But this could probably have been done anyway by checking available depth of field and refocusing.
Lastly there is an overall blueish cast - often a problem with mountain and snow shots - this could also have been mitigated by use of filters or better still with post processing.
