Sympetrum vulgatum

I took this picture when it was in mid-air as you can see :-) Havent seen any airborne of this kind that was good.. So this is an extraordinary picture and i'm very proud to have captured it :-) Hope you'll like it to.. Thank you for comments...

Stunning capture. What lense did you use? I am amazed you managed to capture it in flight so crisp.

Christian Hansen Hi Ian and thanx alot :-) I used a Nikkor-Micro 105 mm VR from Nikons pro series.
Good light too and f/8 :)

You can really be proud that you have taken such an extraordinary picture. The timing is perfect to show the wings in motion and also the sharpness nearly up to the last piece of the tail is exceptional.

Fantastic! I've been trying for a while to catch one of these like this, in the air. They always seem to pose just a little too far away, and then they move away quickly right before I can make their image :) You got it just right. The background too, it's lovely.

Piesen hehe you are so right :-) You can se this ones body is twisted a bir.. that's because it's about to turn.. Very funny to hunt these, but difficult too .. Thax alot for your comment Ursula..
