Eye of the spiral staircase
This is a spiral staircase in a hotel in Stockholm. I saw there were these threads hanging down in the hole in the center. The threads were enlightened by spotlights on each floor. The cables to those lights are hidden among the threads but can be seen. The red parts are leather covering the railing close to the hole.

Marcus Björkman   Thanks alot Anna, really nice to hear that! I looked up the hotel and I'm 98% sure it´s the Mornington Hotel. You can check it out here: http://www.mornington.se/stockholm/ My shot is taken to right of the reception desk, in the staircase. The reception can be seen in the slideshow on the site.

Du får gärna visa bilder därifrån sen, vore ball :)
Lycka till
/Marcus
Anna Ulmestrand  Million thanx Marcus!

sometimes it is easy to look at high quality images and think that the photographic process is easy but it takes great skill to visualize and actually conceive the shot. This is perfect in every respect. mal
Marcus Björkman   First I must say that your comment made me smile big Mal and I feel honoured by your words!! This picture was actally quite hard to get right, mostly due to my lack of flexibility. It had been easier when I was 20 :)

I had to hang with my chest on the rail to be able to get my feet out of the picture. My arms separated the threads too much so I had to pull them together somehow and at the same time try to keep steady enough in the very low light. I also heard a couple of laughs from people passing by wondering what the .... I was doing :)
Mal Smart  lol, glad that you didn't fall in.
