Warmth in Stone

Extremely rare low tide at sunset makes this spot accessible only a couple of times a year. I was VERY lucky to get nice warm light on this day during a week of fog.

mm767cap Thank you, Angus. When I got there, I was really worried because it was foggy and flat. As I was shooting, I got a couple of minutes where the sun broke through and I was totally freaking out trying to shoot as many frames as possible.

Fantastic image.I visited Oregon last October and it was a great trip.I missed Cape Kiwanda but your shot gives me the chance to know it.

mm767cap Thanks John! As one of my favorite photographers on 1x, I'm flattered that you took the time to stop by! The contrast was a little steep, but the light didn't last very long, so I was just shooting my heart out trying to get a few exposures. I was able to get 3 that I could blend to make it manageable. Thanks very much!
