Red Rocks
Most people point their camera towards Buachaille Etive Mor when shooting from the River Coupall and rightly so as it's a fine lump however, I thought Sron na Creise and Meall a Bhuiridh deserved my attention. I particularly like the red riverbed rocks.

just gorgeous JP, one of the easiest images that I have had to vote on in ages, lovely shot. mal
John Parminter  Cheers for that Mal, I was in doubt about submitting this one as I thought folk would slate it for over-saturation particularly in the reds but I think the quality of light and good cloud coverage pulls it through...
I have an upright version as well which I actually prefer but thought this one would fare better on here.

You're looking the wrong way! What's the matter, couldn't you find the tripod holes? ;-) Another cracker JP.
John Parminter  Don't worry Jon, I have looked the other way and shot but to publish it I'd have to compete with every other photographer in the country.... :-)

Might have something fairly unique though, I actually climbed it and photographed from the top!!

Another epic by you John, and another one that carries your stamp all over. I cannot help thinking of how much time and planning and waiting goes into each of your landscapes that we have seen on these pages.
John Parminter  You'd be surprised Andre, just bowl up in the motor, wind the window down and press the shutter.... :-)
Andre du Plessis  ...you forgot to mention the sand bag over the window sill:-)
John Parminter  Actually I do admit to spending hours poring over Ordnance Survey maps and reading climbing books, my wife tries to engage me in conversation but I'm too interested in studying new routes up mountains or a circular run that will bag me 5 summits....

:-)

I daren't submit one of Buachaille Etive Mor from this river as every person ever visited Scotland has photographed it... :-)
