Ben, this photo makes me smile, when I first looked at. Everything is in muted tones, except the greens and this cute sign! Super idea! The best photos are every time very simple, like this one! Graag gedaan.
Mbt mijn foto's: Ben tevreden met de drie foto's die ik hier heb staan. En tja, 't is ook een kwestie van leren en beter worden. Volgens mij heb ik nog heel wat "ruimte om te verbeteren" in het bewerken van de foto's. Ik heb de indruk dat het begin van het traject (exposure, compositie, enz) wel goed gaat, maar dat de afwerking dus niet altijd even goed lukt. Daarom vind ik de critiques sectie zo interessant en nuttig.

PS: heb net trouwens een D300s en een veel betere tripod besteld!
Ben Goossens  Eerlijk gezegd, ben ik geen technisch crack bij opnamen...
normaal een goede camera doet al een groot deel, toch kunen ze niet bij hoge contracten het beeld perfect opnemen... dan is er PS (en andere software) die wonderen kan doen en daar heb ik wel veel ervaring in.

Veel foto plezier gewenst.

I toked many years to find such tree on sand, once I have it, the rest comes and grows...Make a fast sketch, I go for shooting other fitting elements or refer the my personal stock (a full HD 500BG), which I have build with 45 years of photography of everything: skies, elements, persons, etc.
The big problems to organize the "enormous personal stock", so I can find it rather fast. Sometimes, I have to adapt the idea, if it seems impossible to find and photograph the fitting element.
Ones I got all elements it goes rather fast (Max 1 day work).

I have a lot time, because I'm retired and passionated by surrealism and endless possibilities of PS.
Chris Dixon  Ben, great insight to how it is done....I have just retired so perhaps I will start trying to build a stock of picture elements so that I can have a go as well....but as I have only just started photography in a serious way it may take a while :-)

I though at it while to add some persons, but feared it would be to complex...
That why I added only the blurred wood in the background and leave everything to the fantasy of the viewer.
