This was in critique a while back...? Is this a new crop - more square than the old one? I forget if the original one had a shadow or not? I seem to remember leaving a critique on how more of them (umbrellas) would be more striking. The shadow here certainly does that... maybe the tighter crop (if that is what it is) has succeeding in focusing attention?

You're right, this is a new version of the picture that you saw and made some commends on in critique before some time. Thanks for your valuable suggestions you made then. Right, that's a new crop (I got more space around) and the format is more square... I also limited the highlight on the umbrella and increased contrast on the ground to emphasized the trails. The shadow had already been there...

Richard Ford Well it is a marked improvement! I think the square crop works well here. The last one was too open and as I think I mentioned - needed more objects in it.
