Depth of field and lack of any lens distortion makes this totally awesome, your work is sensational Sven, I'd love to know how you do it! Can you share what camera/lens/settings you used, and what post processing techniques applied....? Brilliant as always!
Sven Fennema  Thank you very much dougi!
Camera is my little crappy Canon 400D, lense is EF-S 10-22 at 10 (crop 1,6) -
Had to use 4 exposures for this picture to get the difficult light handled.
So i did a manual exposure blending in post processing!
dougi  Cheers Sven, love your work. I get so much motivation out of your images...... Manual exposure blending....clever, I've always just gone straight to HDR and more often than not I'm not very happy with teh results. Never even thought about manual blending several different exposures....... Doh! Cheers!

Great composition. I really like the light here. The architect placed these windows perfectly, and what an awesome job capturing the effect. Also, love the downward discoloration pattern on the right (water leak?).
Sven Fennema  Thank you very much Justin! Absolutely about the architect, the other staircase was also very special, still have to process and will try to place here, later.
Yes about the pattern on the right, must have been due incoming rain.

you know what i like the most on your photos?
that there aren't any people on, but one can feel their presence, like they were really there. Like the ghosts were flying around and telling us some stories of the past.
i really like your work!
:-)
Sven Fennema  Thank you very much Barbara, appreciate that very much! Had discussions several times about why i don't include people on my works, a few didn't understand why my pictures woudln't work with people - Think they didn't dive and read deep enough into it them. Glad to hear when my intention is really getting to the viewer!
