Wonderful mood. To me it feels like the start of a movie, with a sentimental feeling, like viewing christmas lights in a warm cafe, alone.

gerard sexton Pelle like the way you are thinking in fact this is just a part of a bigger picture the original has a figure centrally placed holding an umbrella which for some reason I thought might not make these pages! A later attempt to get that image published was unsuccessful I think because of this image being already in the gallery. Anyway thank you again for passing by & commenting.

gerard sexton Fredrik I am happy you like this. To answer your question no this place is on my way home as in lies on the route from the river to the station. I pass it many times but on this occasion time of day the dark evening skies & the lights were perfectly placed. I was with a friend who I was giving some photography lessons & this was a wonderful example of making something from nothing but it is all about the light what little there was but both the artificial light & the diffused sky in that period we call dusk.

I used them with the Nikon FE, but I had problems focusing with my bad eyes.

Now, I have considered to buy one (auto focus, if possible)... but for my "crazy surreal" style of images, I can't use it directly.

But I have a Sigma 70mm f2.8 Macro, a good portrait lens and don't use it a lot, because portraits I rarely do... I'm not so good in it:-(

Well the first thing I see here is lens quality, then camera processor and your wonderful eye. Unreal show.

gerard sexton Yes a terrific little lens in fact having gone back to the original I think I over cooked the blue which in the original is more steely blue that pacific & my eye had been looking at dull & shadowy shapes all day as I passed they would have been shut to not notice this little gem & my luck was that it was perfect timing. Thanks Wings.

As a part or as a whole this image is being framed & on my wall I love it for its simplicity the bokeh is what it is about the rain provides a texture or pattern to add depth all the elements work together. I am kicking myself I didn't upload the whole frame....but maybe I will.
