Terrifying.....like an image from "Summer of Sam"
Tim  :)

......I'm not actually a morbid person, but I really love doing this kind of dark, threatening stuff. Anyway, thanks Jaroslav.
I love, love, love this image. Surreal and dreamlike. Great comp and scale. Great job.
Tim  I appreciate your thoughts - thanks!

Great picture! It sort of gives the impression that this is a miniature chair..or is it me??
Tim  Thanks Marcus. It's actually a regular-sized chair, albeit a pretty old, worn-out one :)

Have I not seen a B/W version of this splendid picture somewhere before, regardless this is a very powerful shot more than the image I remember.

Patrick
Patrick Hickey  You certainly have found more, my first live in photography is B/W but this is for me clearly a case where the colour is the better option, and the more shallow depth of field.

Patrick
Tim  You have seen it before.....I posted the mono version on DPn about a year ago, however I recently felt that there was more to come from the image, hence this re-edit.

Thanks Patrick

Thanks to all for the feedback. This image is actually a reworking of a shot I took last year in the basement of the old factory where I have my studio.

Having the legs of the chair in the frame was never part of the plan, as from this perspective I'd have needed to move back or change to portrait, both of which would've compromised my idea. To me, the worn, upper part was the interesting bit and so cropping the legs didn't seem such a bad thing to do :)

Thanks again for the comments.
Andrew Thatcher  To me the Colour version pulls the eye away from the tiny problem i had with the B&W one. This works a lot better, love it. ;)
