I voted against this in screening and watched Mark vote for it, so I guess we canceled one another but we both liked the feel of the image yet I found the processing took away from the overall look. Does any of that makes sense? :-)

I was thinking that you used the "diffuse glow" filter and felt that it should have been reduced on his face a bit more, particularly his nose and forehead. On the upside the connection with the subject is marvelous as is the composition. Cheers, t
Christopher Scott  Tracy, must be great having screening sessions with Mark, as long as you vote for each others images there shouldn't be a problem =P
I'm still trying different ways to process my images/portraits, I get inspired by many famous photographers, but want to develop my own style.
I didn't use the "diffuse glow" filter at all but did some other stuff that might look similar!
Thanks for your comment.
Cheers...
Tracy Martin  Actually we don't always get around to screening each others stuff, but it is always interesting screening because sometimes we really differ in our opinion of a particular image. :-)

I understand the processing part, I am really trying to find my own style as well, the more I do, the more I learn about the process and my own direction. Cheers...t

Christopher Scott  Thanks Remo,
It's a hard call, I kind of agree with Fedor, but at the same time I like the tension... yea well, guess I'm suffering from MPD as well!

Happy to see this portrait here!
The think I prefer in all your portraits is the expression in the eyes of your models, always very strong with a lot of character.
Cheers :)
Anne
Christopher Scott  Thank you very much Anne, I do focus a lot on the eyes - hopefully my camera too - and for me it's important to bring them out in a way that reflects best what I want to communicate with an image... Glad you like it!

Seen this in member screening, voted not to publish due to cut/blurry palm; glad it made it on OE, I like the mood. A nice addition to my Blurry Foreground album.
Christopher Scott  Interesting Fedor, so you suffer on multiple personality disorder? On one hand you voted against it and on the other you're glad it made it... hmm, whatever!
Cheers mate and thanks for the comment.
Fedor Soreks  It has become more is more about dissociative identity recently:).
