Its no possible. The turn of move is of white pieces, no black ! :)

but, its a nice shoot ;)
Christopher Scott  The first one who realized it! Look at it as a little gimmick ;)

Thanks for the comment, cheers.

Good grief! This is beyond brilliant....

Nicely done, Christopher. Works especially well because of the background; the poster calligraphy echoes the chess pieces, somehow. Was it staged? Doesn't matter, very effective.
Christopher Scott  Hey there Richard, yes it was staged, and I had in mind that the poster reflects the chess game/pieces. Asian war or something.
Thanks for your comment!

Great stuff Chris! Nice editing!
Christopher Scott  Thanks Ralf, I just love to edit an image at the end of a day, I did a lot of programming then and had to get my mind away from coding... I think you know what I'm talking about ;)
Cheers mate!

Love the way you have controled this image, the use of lighting and the way you have toned it is fantastic, Great iamge.
Christopher Scott  Thanks Andrew, I'm glad that you like the lighting, guess I'm getting better at it ;). There are also some new post-processing techniques that I'm playing with. Seems to work quite good...

the atmosphere is great Christopher, very good work. mal
Christopher Scott  A thanks a lot, I'm happy you mention the atmosphere in a positive way. I worked a lot on that, with the green on the top and the warmer tones on the bottom and the shadows of the blinds in the background.
Thanks for your comment Mal!

Cool picture and great angle. Also a screening favorite of me :) Did you do it with the 12-24 Nikkor?
Christopher Scott  Yes exactly, still one of my favorite lenses (even with just f/4).
Thanks for your comment Pascal!

Damn, it almost seems that I will have to call you the 'flash king' from now on. What you do with it is crazy sometimes and I'm not kiddin' you! :-)
PS: thanks for the 'strobist' tip C! Lot's of reading still to be done.
Cheers checkmate
robin
Christopher Scott  Thanks Robin, I'm very happy that you like my lighting. It's something I've put a lot of efforts into in the past couple of shots. Still I would like to invest more into flashes... So at the moment I do a lot of "lighting" in post work, it's crazy how good you can paint with light and shadows in photoshop...
Thanks again for your encouraging words.
Cheers mate (I lost... I really did)

I loved this one in screening, Christopher. Great use of the wideangle and the odd colour balance adds to the image.
Christopher Scott  Thanks a lot Stephen, me and my dad played a game of chess the other night. Just then I had this image in my mind and had to grab my camera and flash and set up a shot - I'm happy what turned out. I did a lot of editing like putting in some colors to create a nice ambience, glad you like it!
