Hey velu yes I did some unsharp masking in photoshop with a higher than normal radius and a lower than normal percentage to increase the contrast of the pebbles.

love the colors & the subtle tones on the pebbles. besides using a GND filter, did you do anything else in the processing flow to get the pebbles to look the way it does.

Yes, it does look a bit like HDR. For landscape photos I use graduated neutral density filters (which darken the sky and leave the foreground light), which balances the scene overall and makes it more natural looking without going overboard. The late Galen Rowell swore by these filters, and I do too. :)
