When I knew I had the oppertuntiy to visit the Isle of Skye this year I knew I must walk up the Old Man of Storr. I had seen many beautiful images taken from the peak but I wanted to capture the land in a way its not often seen in magazines, which is why I concentated on capturing the changing apperance of the landscape during my ascent. I love the way the light played with the land, bring out the textures. Shooting into the sun I knew my ND grad wasn't going to hold the sky alone, so I photographed the scene twice and merged the sky and land in photoshop.
