Respectfully disagreeing with Tim on this one. I'm very partial to pictorialism in general, and "Orton style" images in particular. I think that the sharp turn away from reality takes this picture to the next level.

It's sweet, but for me it looks closer to a painting than a photograph. Great colours and an interesting scene, but I suspect it'd look better with less processing - there must be lots of detail in the original, for example..?
Sophie Pasquet  Thanks Tim for the suggestion. However, this is in fact the original, so to speak. I used the Orton technique (or montage) to create this image. It is made from two overexposed slides (one sharp, one out of focus) of the same subject. The two slides are then put on top of each other. I then scanned the result for the web. There is otherwise no processing at all. For more on Michael Orton or his technique here are a couple of links:
