Very effective compostion. I have a hard time shooting bales myself (I'm another Alberta photographer), so I commend you for making this work as well as it does.

Minor nitpick: there are some slightly blown out areas in the cloud that could use a bit of fixing if you're re-working this image again in the future. I realize that this sort of thing is hard to avoid with the dynamic range you were dealing with, but depending on the camera you used and whether or not you shot in RAW, the data in the blown out areas may be recoverable.

A very nice image. Look me up if you're ever passing through the Consort area -- the coffee is on me. :-)

Very nice image with IR effect. The big cloud creates a dramatic atmospere. I would like to see a version woth darker sky.

Rob Pantalone George, I experimented with some darker skies but it caused too much ambiguity on the bottom part of the cloud and caused a bit too much glow. Personally, I would have liked the sky darker as well but I'm not sure how to darken it without comprising the rest of the image.

George Eleftheriadis I believe that it can be done only with masking in PS. But to much post proccesing is not always necessary. You have a winning picture so it doesn't really matter.

Rob Pantalone No, sadly its not IR, the coloration simply matches what I had in mind when I was shooting. I should get myself an IR filter though, I personally love the effect the filters give.
