I don't normally like HDR but this is amazing.

perhaps this is a metaphor for industrialized society.
or maybe not.

it is wonderfully inquisitive/observant either way.

Very cool. Following the line around the curve with my eye, I wish it was not broken on the right. Still great capture

how wide is the lens....so beautiful
Scott Crouse  Thanks Moses. Actually it wasn't very wide. I was using a borrowed camera and lens from work. I think it's around 21mm or so. I have a 10mm now, would love to go back and shot it in real wide hahaha.

Still one of the best shots on OE. Top 10 in my opinion.
Scott Crouse  Wow, that's quite a statement with all the fantastic work on here. Thank you Brent!

Great colors and lines. I think you are selling yourself short in your forum discussion :) Thousands of people have seen this, but few if any noticed its beauty. Seeing what nobody has seen before is creativity.
Scott Crouse  Thanks Martin, I got addicted to great shots like this and I have produced any in some time and I think that is why I've been questioning myself. Anyhow, it's been a great discussion. Thanks again for all the great input.

I recognized this location right away without reading the caption. I thought many times I want to photograph the Ottawa train station... didn't get around to it yet.

Good job on this, The color and texture look Amazing!
Scott Crouse  Thanks Dominique! It was one of those ones where I didn't know what I had until I got home and viewed it on the computer. would like to go back sometime and reshoot to fix some of the composition problems, but part of me says move along, you did good. :) Thanks again!

This is wonderful! It makes me want to put on a pair of roller blades, and WHOOOSH--just zoom right on down! :D
Scott Crouse  Thank you very much Aurora. Ironically I do believe their is a sign nearby banning Rollerblades in the train station. hahaha, but your right it would be FUN!
Aurora Vanderbosch  Yeah...that FIGURES! All the fun things are banned in public places! ;)

Very nice colours and wonderful composition.. could never think it's HDR - you've done a great job here :)
Scott Crouse  Thank you oh so much Daria. Your HDR work is fabulous so this coming from you is very meaningful. Thank you.

Great stuff. I'm keeping up the spiral motif myself. This shot has a satisfying "rightness".

Very nice.

The use of hdr is nice in this shot, bit over the old hdr but in this case it works well, adds a nice surreal and painterly feel to the image.

Nice one.
Scott Crouse  Thanks Jeremy. When I first started HDR I was way over the top and everything was surreal. Nowadays I'm trying to use it for what it was intended. This shot is actually fairly lightly treated, the lighting is pretty much as it's seen. Cheers mate!
Jeremy Russell  Yes, HDR is at it's best when the image stands out and not the HDR.
Scott Crouse  I agree completely Jeremy!

Well composed abstract with beautiful colours and near-perfect exposure. Fabulous, dramatic image; definitely one to print......BIG :)
Scott Crouse  Thanks Tim! It's already on my list for printing. Even got a wall picked out.
Tim  I'd just crop the tiny red area which inadvertently draws the eye to the top left of the frame, just above the rail. A small thing, but noticable.
Scott Crouse  Good point, I actually didn't notice it, but now that you've pointed it out I can always see it - DOH!
Tim  Ha......don't forget it when you do the print ;)

great composition. the choice for hdr is very good too!
Scott Crouse  Thanks Remo. I had shot this both in HDR and RAW and for once the HDR was far superior in my mind. There is definitely a place to use it, and places not to.
Great composition! The contrast between the cold concrete and the warm light makes this picture a very special architectural shot.
Scott Crouse  Thanks Stephan!
scott, great capture, I saw it just before one of my photos were accepted this morning - I thought initially yours was also Vatican as they both are very similar
Scott Crouse  Serban, just took a look at your shot - OUTSTANDING mate. Beautifully done. Who would have thought, similar styles of a train station in Ottawa to the Vatican. Thanks mate.
