When I went to click on your profile, I hit the remove friend button by accident , so I added you back right away. We go back so many years, I hardly realize how time does fly. I love the simplify of subject and color. The shadow movement of the person adds even more mystery. My compliments to my mentor.
Now I just have to close with this "Ciled with a kiss", that was just too funny to pass up.

I just love this, Ben. It is so simple, but holds so much interest and invites the viewer to even see things that aren't there.

On first glance, I seem to see the shadow on the wall of the man in the hat, but when I go to the black background, I see what appears to be a slender woman leaving the scene. How great is that?

I love the textures, the repetitive shapes, the colors, the two shades of white and the way the shelf adds a highlight to the wall behind the envelope. This is the type of image that I might make for myself and be very proud of.

The green background was shot some years back in the south of France: Ardeche at Johanas, a very small village.

Your picture has the minimum of elements, but the right ones - colour contrast, a strong focal point and the human interest in the form of the kiss on the letter and the departing figure. I remember it from Voting and cannot quite remember how I voted - this is not important; only that your fine "human" picture is published. Congratulations!
