Soul Mirror
There is a point to the persons not looking directly into each others' eyes, this way the outside person becomes the observer and the person in the mirror might be the real one...

Is this about some one reflecting "If only I can become like him?"
There is also the uncertainty about who is observing who...
Indeed thought provoking - both the title and the image!

The samurai looks much more at east than the suit. This is thoughtfully put together.
Ralf Stelander  Thanks Martin, that's the point actually!

an image intelligent, can be expressed with different meanings, Technically there is perhaps a bit of grain, but the impact is substantial I really like.
Ralf Stelander  Thank you, very much appreciated! The grain is natural film grain.

WOW. LOL...This reminds me of a photo I took of a kitten looking in a mirror but actually seeing a white Tiger! LOL..I call it "Delusions of Grandeur". Maybe I will upload it sometime. BUT, LOVE the way you think!! (Like minds and all that...) :)
Ralf Stelander  Thanks, I'd like to see that one very much, sounds like a great idea!
Rose DiBiasi  Seems I reached my limit for the week? But when I can upload more, I will add it in for yah! :)

I like the concept, however the angle of the reflection does not coincide with the person looking into the mirror and therefore very distracting.
Ralf Stelander  Yes, that's obvious.

What a good idea.. You can tell it also "autoportrait".Two years ago, in France we have in Paris, a big exposition called "autoportraits " with many photos and painting. Do you have heard of it? I love your photo
Ralf Stelander  Thanks for the comment! What is an "autoportrait" exactly? =)

We all look into that mirror and see very different reflections of ourself, especially when we are looking deep below the surface. I love this illustration of reflection.
Always, C

Ralf Stelander  Thanks! Oh, and by the way, the original version of this photo was an IRL photoshop job, meaning physically cutting it with razorblades and gluing it together! Isn't that genuine! ;)

Liking the idea behind the image! Who do you see in the mirror when you look at yourself. (it's like when you were a little kid, 'I want to be a police officer, firemen, samurai)
yeps, cool idea and well made!
regards
robin
Ralf Stelander  Well, he's a real samurai! Thanks for the comment, I'm happy the photo can be interpreted in many different ways!
