The comments by you all on this series humble me!! I appreciate it soooo much! Interesting that #4 seems to be the choice of some of you as the stand out. Personally I like #3 as it seems to show the motion of the tree actually falling even though I found it already on the ground obviously.

Clyde, this is one the best works I have seen here. It is an impressive story in which each specific image plays its role. I agree with King: the idea is very similar to a movie concept. I remain ompressed of the syntheis property of such works. In 7 steps your images contain a world: it is amovement from external (#1) to an internla state of soul (#7). The 4th one has its own value.
Thanks, many thanks. Some of us deserve to see such expressions of art.
Clyde Beamer  I'm humbled by your comments Sergio!! Thanks so much!

Clyde, the persistent sweep, thrust, reach and rush of this series befits the title. Reminds me of scenes from "The Road" with Viggo Mortensen. Have you every directed a film? Ever aspire to? Beautiful, thoughtful and moving work here.
Clyde Beamer  Would there need to be people in this movie King? I think people spoil most sappy sunset shots, but maybe some like these?? THANK YOU my friend, you encouraged me about these when I was first doing them and I appreciate that and you a lot!!

Clyde, what a delight it is to see your name in the Photo section instead of the Forum for a change! (much as I enjoy your forum posts...) This is a wonderful series, powerful, moody, evocative, bold, transcendent. I love the progression from the first magnificent image, and I love the sense of unity you've achieved, despite the varying techniques. Great work, my sincere congratulations!
Tim.
Clyde Beamer  Yeah, TJ I don't submit much any more so I don't even get a chance much at the homepage. Nice to see this series make it.Thank you very much my friend!

I am speechless Clyde! Always only reading from you and now having a nice visual impression of yours work is something different which i am enjoying mostly for the silence and peace!

Clyde Beamer  Life is full of surprises isn't it Robert!! Thank you very much for your comments. You picked up on one "mood" that nobody else has mentioned, silence. I live in LA, a very noisy place. I live close to a freeway and even in my backyard the noise is always there. This series was take in the mountains just behind my house and north of LA, The San Gabriel Mountains alongside Angeles Crest Highway. I go there as much as anything for the silence. I can pull my car off the side of the road and especially in winter, hear nothing, not even another car for long periods. This place is and was such an experience for me that day. With the rain and clouds, the road was totally deserted. I spent about an hour exploring this spot and don't think I heard 2 other cars go by. This spot is about a hundred yards from the road, up at about 6000 feet elevation.

Thanks again Robert for your comments.
Robert  Sometimes it is just turning around and with open eyes and open heart the body and the soul will find such peaceful place of nature. Nobody need travel far just some view steps and all is there:-)
Great, great,great lensbaby work Clyde!!!
Cheers!

Clyde,...this is great...and from interesting from you. Is this a Lensbaby, film or digital..the textures are lovely throughout. The whole series frame by frame almost seems to be moving. It is like your video skills got captured here also. Don't know if it was deliberate or not...but it works. :) Congratulations. Phyllis
Clyde Beamer  This series is a real mixture of techniques. I tried to put a description under it now that it's published but can't find a way like you can w/ a single image.

The first 2 are prime lens shots on film. #'s 3 & 4 are Lensbably on a D90. #'s 5 & 6 are Pinhole body cap on a D90. And #7 is Lensbaby on film. And yes I was trying to show movement and time passage both. #3 in particular I believe show a sense of movement or at least motion blur.

I tried hard to even out the tonal range and grain appearance to make them all feel like each other even though they were shot very differently.

THANK Phyl!! I'm so glad you like it.
Phyllis Clarke  Thank you for this response. I think how you made them made the series even more impressive. I am sure there has to be a way to add paragraph...I have to say I am pleased that I asked the question, because it did look very much like could be anyone of those mediums...and here you had used them all!!! I have to look closer now at the Pinhole ...5 & 6. The film is delicious and the mood wonderful. I think it is the kind of a series one could look at over and over..:) Thanks for the info...
