This picture is ready to suck you into it. Someone said "scary" and there's something in that.
When it comes to the details I think that you should have centered the funnel so that the margin from its edge to the edge of the picture was equal on both sides. Further I think that the top of the wall to the left should have been horizontal, as it is now it gives an impression of a slanted horizon.

thanks for all the comments, i love this pic and have been waiting for the water to rise up for 4 months. 10 days before the photo was taken it was 3 metres down on this level, kept checking on the days i drove past and we had an awful night on rain so stopped at 7am on the way to work and it was pouring misty wet morning but the spillway was roaring and the fog looming up over the damn so i snapped away. set a high bar for myself now first submission first acceptance.......
