Don't know what to say.. I'm never imagine how Slot Canyon can be turned into a series of artful images like all of these..
My favorite is number 1.. It looks like a long hair girl with hat.. amazing!

I have been returning to this series for some time. They are so beautiful - they remind me a little of glassworks - I think it's the colours and patterns. Tonight however, I feel I must put fingers to the keyboard and convey a little of how they move me. Thankyou for sharing!

This is a wonderful series! As much as I love slot canyons, at times it seems that if you have seen one image, you have - almost - seen all. And then, totally unexpectedly, I stumbled onto your series. You did indeed show them very differently, and definitely honored the textures and the magic. Just amazing. . .and very beautiful.

Congratulations on getting this body of work published here I am impressed with your artistry as well as your imagination to take this place into the realms of fantasy. Who would ever have thought? You have also managed to keep enough mystery in these images to ask questions of the viewer the title will not be obvious to everyone. For me they don't all appeal visually because of the sparsity of colour & abundance of white in some but as a body of work I find it compelling & inspirational. Well done sir I bet you never thought you would see this day?

Jerry Berry Thank you Gerard. As they age in my consciousness, they become even more compelling as a set, rather than individual. Titles are a problem for some; not a problem for others, for me. As a group, Alternative Slots works for me. I see them as a contemporary alternative to a well worked subject matter.

Jerry...I find what shines through here for me is your creativity. To take something we think we all 'know' and to show it to us in a different way, that makes us see something new is precious. Some of them look like silk scarfs, some like hand blown glass. All of them have a abstract quality coupled with great color. Your title Alternative Slots is perfect too..for what they are...and reminds me a bit of the movie title Altered States. Congratulations on this well deserved recognition. :) Phyllis

Jerry Berry Thank you Phyllis. The hardest part was paring them down to 10. Can't wait to go back and shoot them again to add to the group. Altered States. I know it well :-)
