Early morning

My favorite conditions to photograph are fog and mist. Scenes have more depth in fog because the world seems lots smaller and easyer. Sounds are muted, the city seems to awake slower than usual, looks like.
People feel less comfortable with these conditions and automatically talk softer and walk slower. It is still early in the morning and everything remains so silent ....

This photograph shows the "Veerhaven" in Rotterdam, where everything is still from a classic beauty. So the dock gates as the lanterns. The buildings as the classic clock.

I uploaded this one three times before in different processings but without any succes. And I didn't understand why because, as I told before, this is one of my personal faorites. 10 min na 9.26 :).........wat weet je toch een prachtige sfeer te vangen Theo en wat komen die mannen prachtig het beeld in lopen.......gr Gerard

theo peekstok Inderdaad Gerard, was mij zelf nog niet opgevallen maar er zit ongeveer 10 minuten tussen deze en die andere. Het was erg koud en druilerig en het wachten op voorbijgangers was een beetje ondankbaar. Veel kwamen er niet langs maar toen deze twee in beeld kwamen werd ik erg blij. De perfecte invulling van deze scene.
