Superb!
I thought the title might be something to do with the signs behind the heads. I don't speak French so was wondering whether it was worth typing it into Google Translate, then I saw the guy in the background and it all made sense and I guffawed :)
Andre du Plessis  Good to hear that it did not jump at you Kim. Thanks, Andre

Andre..what really makes this shot so funny is that they are not aware and we are...they look so nonchalant..and if they only knew what was happening a few feet away.....:) Good capture...:) Phyllis
Andre du Plessis  My thoughts and the fun in this for me as well:) Regards

"Apres nous le deluge" f maybe more precisely: "Arriere nous le deluge"

Andre du Plessis  Yes, he is most certainly adding to the treacherous ebb-and-flow here. Cheers Willem!

Great capture!
Andre du Plessis  Thanks. I read the bit about you always caring a G12. I need to consider something like that soon.
luceombra  Yes, I confirm it's really a fantastic tool. Just in case I can provide a link where you can see some shots I took with that camera
Wonderful... Took me a few seconds to spot the action... BTW, that's what they call "caught red-handed", or should it be wet-handed?
Andre du Plessis  LOL I think wet-handed would have been the preferred one. Good one Frederic, and cheers!

This is a strong work Andre. Great done so difficult with three persons, but with four, and really all in the right moment :-) and a great editing stresses the mood. Great done, congrats Andre

Very nice and thanks for sharing the story....best regards!
Andre du Plessis  My pleasure Vincent. This was a departure in my usual style (in fact here I displayed no 'style' at all) ..... but I managed to steal the image that the moment offered. Which left me rather bemused but happy as well, although feeling quite guilty. But luckily that lasted only 2 mins:)

What an excellent story! :-)
Andre du Plessis  Many thanks Robert. On another note - this image is much 'whiter' than the stuff I usually prepare, but however I tried, I simply could not get this image to embrace a darker appearance, without it looking over-cooked.

It took a moment to fully grasp the image. Wonderful framing and a great sense of humor. Erwitt would be proud.
Andre du Plessis  I hope so:) Thank you Reathel, and glad to read that you enjoy this.

Another excellent photograph, anchored on the perfect title.
Andre du Plessis  Thank you Thomas. I scratched head on a title for this, as I really did not want to discriminate against the kind folks in the foreground, so Ignoramus seemed OK to me, for that certainly excludes them in the equation. Pisser was my second choice, but it sounded rather too sophisticated:)

Hi Andre
I was always confused with your name, that sounds so french
I was almost clear about you (south african living in UK)
and now you post a picture taken in France....
;-)

Never mind, an interesting picture with these characters, the signs
but I think the most important happen in the background on the right
excellent mix of attitude here
well done
a great one

Andre du Plessis  Hi Frank. yes, you are correct in your deduction, however, I frequently spend time in Normandy. Le Treport is a vishing village in northern France. This village is one of the Three Sisters, comprising Le Treport, Eu, and Mers-les-Bains. This area is mostly known for the St.Jacques scallops that they fish here - an absolute delicatessen and quite costly.
I noticed this chap taking a leak outside the fish market where he was selling fish, and had to very quickly try to get some context to present him in. So this was a stolen shot - these three old folk never saw me coming, however, afterwards they made some mumbly sounds that suggested that they might not have been too chuffed to serve my plate without prior acknowledgement. However, I could only smile and walk on, as they missed the real scene and the purpose of my inclusion of them.
FrankBa  I see !
Monsieur Du Plessis is a fine connoisseur !
one of my favorite one is when they are presented as a Carpacio
The taste is then very delicate !
but not all can eat them raw...
