The aurora over a lake with interesting ice bubble shapes. 3 stacked 14mm horizontal shots blended vertically for perspective + 10 shots bracketed and blended for depth of field throughout the ice. The two shots for mountains and sky were taken one right after the other and then I worked on exposing for the ice. Hard to think about all those steps when you're out there at 1am in the mountains to render a scene like this, but fortunately it worked out OK this time. The aurora is a real challenge to shoot WITH the landscape. I've given it my best effort so far this year. I spent two weeks up here amidst these peaks camping, hiking and taking photos.
