Muskox captured in an autumn-blizzard on a cold day on Dovre Fjeld, Norway.

A friend and I drove several hundreds km. to get to Dovre Fjeld to "shoot" the Musk-oxes living there.
But when we arrived at Dovre the road into the area was closed down for the season.
We had to put on the warm clothes, put the camera in a backpack and walk into the area - quite a walk in a heavy blizzard, 3 - 4 minus degrees, heavy wind and ice with some snow on top on the ground.
In Denmark we haven`t had that kind of weather yet this autumn, so I´m still not used to such cold conditions.
When we had walked approximately 5 km. we saw a flock a couple of km. further ahead, and we approached them.
I slipped 4 times ( gear ok ;-)) ), but the walk was rewarded, because we got the Musk-oxes in the blizzard, as we had hoped for.
We even got a mating, but the eyes / head are covered with the snow on my shots. My photo-friend were more lucky with his series of the mating, and got some where you can see the eyes / face more clearly.

After staying on my belly shooting at the animals for 5 quarters, I had to look for the buttons on my camera, because I couldn`t feel them with my freezing fingers.
