Magnified Mantis

I was trying to take some photos through a magnifying glass of one of my cats when I noticed my other cat playing with this fellow. So I got down close to him and took a few frames. Your mantis shots make me anthropomorphize, sort of. This one reminds me of Kermit the Frog's smile. Good lighting and depth of field. The use of the magnifier is brilliant. How did you get it to hold still for this tomfoolery??

What engages me about this image is the eyes looking off to the side. It is almost as if the creature has been caught performing some dastardly act, or is that just a little bit of anthropomorphism on my part?
