Descending from Naya Kanga

Our aim on this expedition some years ago was to climb Naya Kanga, in the Langtang region in Nepal. We didn't make a bid for the summit due to bad weather, but we could enjoy a descent in the calmness after the thunder in bright sunshine and fresh powder snow.

Superb image and a very nice note to go along with it!
The note reminds me of a similar experience i had a few years back when i was disappointed on not being able to move ahead and while at camp brooding by the kitchen stove...the cook, an old and wise man of the mountains told me this- "the mountains have been around for more years before you were born and will continue to remain for more years after you have gone...so cheer up and come again another time...they will be there waiting for you" ...i have ever since used his sound guidance on all my adventures!

What an amazing place, well captured. Sorry you got shut out of the summit, but you were left with amazing memories no doubt, with the added benefit of being able to come back another day (which is sometimes denied to those who are not cautious with Himalayan weather). Cheers.

The aesthetics in the picture is amazing. The look of it is so harmonious! Gorgeous in black and white. It's like the people are part of the landscape. Love the glistening in the snow as well.
