wonderful shot Dude. How was it lit ?

Brent Smith Thanks Much :) The light is all natural light mostly coming from a clear glass skylight above the stairwell, but also coming through an orange glass wall off to the right which provided some intense color.

Thanks you all for the nice comments. This capture was somewhat rare for me in that I was able to capture something very close to what I had envisioned in my mind. I love it when that happens! :)

Brent Smith Thanks Ursula! Well there is the saying "you can't fight City Hall", but I did my best to do so with this shot. Your see this stairwell is in the Seattle City hall building at 600 5th Ave ;) Great space and I hope to shoot more there...

Ursula I Abresch They let you shoot there? I once tried making pictures outside of the Federal Bldg in downtown Seattle, and was given a speech by the security guards about stuff. They definitely would not let me in, hardly around. But City Hall must be different?

Brent Smith I have shot there twice without any issue Ursula, but there might be a rule against it? The Federal buildings are indeed tough to shoot in but I have charmed guards to let me shoot in them before- they do sometimes have freedom to let you shoot if you are nice. Just smile a lot! :)
