Majestic catch
In any sport to excel you need commitment. This is Zafar Ansari a young & accomplished Surrey all rounder with a great future. He is fielding barely 2 meters from the bat this takes courage & quick wits. Here the batsman has looped the ball up & over him it took enormous athleticism to take this catch falling backwards the sequence of shots was possible because at the time I had chosen to concentrate on his position this is at the point the ball goes into his hand for what is a majestic stretch & a spectacular catch. The bowler the Indian international Pragyan Ojha watches in the background.

Excellent!!...and such a quick reaction by Zafar. You must have been dead chuffed when you chimped a few seconds later :)
gerard sexton  ...oh and yes but I chimp less & less simply because what is done is done! & it takes battery power!
gerard sexton  Well funny Charlie because there are I think about three frames before of him watching the ball loop up & over him its the fact he actually made the effort from his crouching position into this tree like frame. This guy is a class act under pressure I can tell you & smart with it one to watch in the future. Thanks for stopping by.

What a catch:) Splendid Gerry. Wow - it all came together in this frame, and then there are those small jewels, like the take-off soil under his shoe. The bowler's face captured, visible behind this outstretched arm, and with imagination even his fingers crossed in anticipation. Delightful action study!
gerard sexton  Cheers Andre much appreciated. Talk soon.
