The Sound of Thunder
There I was, on an unnamed glacier a hundred miles from humanity. Hadn't seen a person or sign of one in two weeks. The mountains were talking to me. This is what they said.

When I first glanced at this in small format I thought, "when did Marc start surfing". Even in full size it still reminds me of a huge wave breaking. Fantastic light and such wonderful implied movement from this composition. well done.

I'm getting a "Terje Helleso" feeling on most of Marc Adamus' work. Beautiful photo, regardless.

Hope I won't receive a lot of flak for stating my opinion...
Marc Adamus  I am not a wildlife photographer and I have also never claimed to not composite images, so your comparison is certainly ignorant of the facts here. But in any case, my RAW files are available to my clients and nothing that is done in my work is hidden. Subject matter itself is rarely added or removed from my work but there are exceptions. If you want to know more about these images and how I view processing you can read "Photoshop in Today's Age" on my website.
Marc Adamus  Also, this might be too obvious to mention, but maybe it's worth noting in addition that the vast majority of photographs on website have undergone more post-production than mine. Personally, I think that's a good thing, and the artists on display here are amazing.
Daniel Secrieru  Marc,

Thanks for your reply.

I'm fine with digital manipulation and composition as long as it's not lied about. In the past, some of your images posted on various web sites stated "minimal processing", which was hard to believe. I haven't seen that statement lately, you post in fact a lot more details on your processing techniques, which is good.

Don't get me wrong, I like your images. What frustrates me are your short stories of how they're made (they just rub me the wrong way, sry) but also the fact that I can't distinguish what's real and what's not.

That being said, I apologize for comparing you with Terje Helleso. It was a baseless accusation. I'll crawl back to my little cave of mediocrity.
Marc Adamus  Wilderness adventure and getting 'out there's is what my life is all about. Unlike so many pros and aspiring pros out there, I don't go to great lengths to blog, write and detail every tiny trip I do, but I do want to give people a least just a little taste of what actually happens. I spent 16 days out here after being dropped off by float-plane and dedicated one line to that experience here, which was hard not to do when a place and adventure moves me like this did.
