I found this fascinating in Voting and am so glad it succeeded as I have a two questions...!! :)

Is the timing of your shot the fraction of a second before it dips its beak forwards into the water?

Does it do that when it has seen a small fish that it wants to attract?

A wonderful capture of gymnastic flight!!

The terns, and there were a lot of them, were diving untill they were just over the water, then they dipped the beaks, without stopping the flight, so this one is actually on its way out of the water.. Why they do so, I don't know, but I guess they were either drinking or catching something in the water.
