Jimmy, I am not a lover of spiders but I have to admit you really made me look at this one. It is at first terrifying because of the size and the hairy part..and then just when I want to close up my browser I see the most unexpected pattern on this spider and I have to stop and look...and then I am desensitized..and realize it is not in my office. The blue on the bottom is also so wonderful..and sets it all off... So, while I have not fallen in love just yet with the spider..I must say you have captured something of beauty here. Congratulations. Are they poisonous? My best Phyllis

jimmy hoffman They can bite,yes,but aren't poisonous to humans.This is a very common species in Europe.
Your comment decribes exactly what I also like about this image!Neither am I a spider-lover,but if you look at many species very closely a fascinating world of beautiful colours and patterns opens up.
