Norwegian fjords, carresed by heavy clouds!
As the weather was very bad and gray in Norway, most photo's needed Post Processing.

I choice here for B/W, done with Nik Silver Efex - "High structure", which give also grain to the picture. Seagull is added for the composition.

I hope you like it, even it isn't my usual style.

Wow Ben, what a beauty. Marei and me have been to Turkey one week, in a hot and sunny land :-) You nearly cannot imagine my joy, to see clouds, fog and rain. Your image is wonderful
Christoph
Ben Goossens  Thanks Christoph:-)
Next year it will be probably Turkey, less expensive and sure to have the sun, which we didn't see in Norway!!
Christoph Hessel  This this time we travelled with my eldest son and so we had to go in his holidays. next Time we choose April or October. Still warm and sunny but not too hot. To travel through the Anatolian Mountains and to do street there just will exite You Ben. You will like it for sure.
Ben Goossens  We have been there already in the months of June, nice temperature 3 years ago.
First we had 1 week sightseeing (3000kms) trough Turkey and 1 week at the coast (Fineke).
700 Euro/person all in:-) Not expensive.
During sightseeing with a bus, they had 1 euro /person...cheap because Corondon want to promote in inside country.

Even if it is not your 'usual style', you manage to put on this landscape a very interesting and original mood! Your choice of tones and contrasts enables to lay the stress on the delicate interaction between the clouds and the mountain, which makes this picture talk a lot; excellent 'as usual' Ben! :-)
Ben Goossens  Thanks a lot Cedric:-)
I didn't expect to see it published.

It´s a great shot, and good work, Ben !

And about the Seagull; I think it would take med a week to put that into the picture, and 2- 3 weeks more if it should look natural ;-))

Congrats with this "unusual one" ! ;-))

Regards

Henrik
Ben Goossens  Thanks Henrik:-)
The seagull was just a minute job, because I'm a PS addicted since long.

Ben, Yes, I like it and like it in b/w..the photos feels 'heavy'...in a very good way..The gray grays..work well here to convey a mood...and of course you know I love the look of a grainy shot! :) Congratulations. Phyllis
Ben Goossens  Thanks dear Phyllis:-)
It's one in between and much easier than making a montage...
I have some surreal montages in the pipeline, but it can take months, a year... before, I can finish them!!!
Phyllis Clarke  I understand...and your surreal images are worth waiting for! :)Inspired they are..

Its different Ben but superb never the less. I am landscaper but now I try for more surreal images and here you do surreal but now landscape :) great minds think alike ;)
Ben Goossens  Thanks, Ian:-)
I was afraid, because it's so much photographed, it would not make a change here...
But, the PP helps a lot to make it different. (It's uploaded in CE)
Nice attempt in mood category . Different capture from your usual style as you said but i like that , specially the bird. :)
Ben Goossens  Thanks, Niloufar:-)
Ha Ben, mooi met dat "hoofdkussen" op de fjord.
Ben Goossens  Thanks Frédéric:-)
It's the only one, of my stay there, who was interesting enough to work on IMO
Papafrezzo (Frédéric)  I have quite a few of this kind as you may understand as the weather is quite often rainy and cloudy around here ;-) Perhaps I'll revisit them and see how I can get these improved.

Ben Goossens  Thanks Kaveh:-)

Impressive landscape image in a nice b&w.

Fijn programmatje dat Nik Silver Efex, heb net Pro 2, mis daarin wel weer de Holga omzetting uit de vorige versie.
Ben Goossens  Thanks Jacob:-)
I doesn't use Nik Silver Effect Pro a lot, mostly I work in color, so I have to learn.
Holga, is available in my version.

Ben Goossens  It's one in between, chosen of of 140 shots all rather gray and somber.
I also think, that the seagull was needed.
Ben Goossens  Thanks Michel:-)

I was there too this year. Nothing but clouds and grayness... Making photos like this makes it all worth while.. Very beautiful moody shot, love this processing.
Ben Goossens  Thanks Geert:-)
Didn't see a fjord top without gray clouds... so, I added more clouds and a lot of PP, to make it more dramatic and moody.
The rest of all images shot there, are good for the family album IMO
