Pinnacle Achievement
The Inaccessible Pinnacle is the summit point of Sgurr Dearg, one of the 3000ft Munro peaks on Skye's Cuillin ridge. It is the only 3000ft Munro peak in Scotland that requires rock climbing skills and a head for heights to reach the top.

very good John.....this sums up the pinnacle, my own experiences always included rain and students with a worried look on their faces! nice to see it on a nice day
John Parminter  Cheers Paul. There was a mixture of guided clients and very competent climbers when I was watching, the guy at the top was very self assured I'd say....

A touch v classic, i like it ... takes me in a crazy young years :))
John Parminter  Cheers Dare, it is actually a very exposed scramble up from the other side but this side it is graded V Diff as a climb. Most folk climb the other side then abseil off this side.
JP
Dare Turnsek  Want to say: touch of classic ;) ... not about difficulty ... i don't care about it anymore, lying below is much more fun :))

Cheers John!

Ye, the bloke at the top!
He looks like he is casually rollling himself a cigarette!
Good one, John.
You didn't fancy HDRing this one, then?
;-)
John Parminter  He was actually casually taking photos as he did a 360 turn on top, an adrenaline junkie I think.... no HDR as you have guessed benjamin.

So were you on an adjacent pinnacle to take this photo, or di you have a very big zoom lens?
John Parminter  I was sat on my arse lounging around drink tea on the adjacent top about 20yds away. I'd climbed Sgurr Dearg early in the morning with specific intentions to wait around for the climbers to tackle the In Pinn as I knew they would have to if they were successfully going to crack the whole ridge. A very enjoyable few hours lazing in the Sun, my previous published shot is the view from where I was sat, or more or less.
Cheers kim,
JP
